Do you open routes? Manage a climbing gym? Or maybe you’re simply trying to understand what makes a good climbing hold? Hang on, we’re going to climb together in the not-so-rough (but highly technical) world of Digital Climbing holds!
Two Main Hold Families
Polyurethane Resin Holds
A Resin Loved by European Climbers
Polyuréthane is the resin most often used for making climbing holds in Europe. Mixed with sand (resin mortar), it is colored and catalyzed then poured into a mold.
This method of production is the least expensive and the climbing experience on this material is very similar to the outdoor rock. It is sensitive to breakage and has no flexibility.
A Realistic Rock-Like Experience
Grip feels great, texture is spot on—you’ll feel like you’re outdoors without ever leaving the gym. That’s the magic of well-crafted polyurethane.
Strong Yet Brittle
That said, this material is rigid and can be brittle. It doesn’t take kindly to big impacts or rushed screwing with an overzealous drill.
Macros and XXL Holds in Recycled ABS
An Innovative Process: Vacuum Thermoforming
For XXL, XXXL, and macro sizes, Digital uses a completely different approach: vacuum thermoforming with 95% recycled ABS plastic to create ultra-light holds.
Lightweight for Easy Setting
These holds are twice as light as traditional fiberglass ones. That means easy transport, safer high placements, and a lot less strain on setters’ shoulders. Your back will thank you.
A Strong Eco-Conscious Commitment
Sustainable production is possible. Less waste, no bulky mounting flanges, and smart use of recycled plastic—all without compromising durability. We love it.
Available Color Palette
Shades to Fun Brights
Black, white, red, blue, green, but also fluorescent pink or orange—there’s something for every taste! Digital’s wide color range allows for visually striking and playful route setting.

Why Color Matters in Route Setting
For a setter, one color = one route. It’s clear, efficient, and helps climbers spot their path at a glance. And with this variety, you can say goodbye to dull, grey-looking walls.
Perks for Setters and Climbing Gyms
Easy to Carry and Install
Fewer kilos to carry = fewer headaches going up and down the gym stairs. A macro hold you can lift with one hand? That’s now possible with Digital.
Less Fatigue, More Creativity
When you’re not fighting with weight, you can focus your energy on creativity. Result? Bold, faster, and more enjoyable route setting.
Less Waste, More Positive Impact
Choosing recycled ABS is also a choice for the planet. For gyms looking to reduce their environmental footprint, it’s a compelling selling point.
Macro Hold Design and Innovation
No More Bulky Mounting Flanges
Thanks to a clever system of angled inserts, screws can be placed anywhere around the edge. No need for thick backing plates or oversized shapes.
A Clean and Smart Anchoring System
Once the hold is fixed, the screws disappear from view. The result is clean, modern, and enhances the wall’s visual design.
Greater Freedom for Wall Design
Setters get total creative freedom. Adjust the placement with precision and let the wall come alive. Less frustration, more art.
Why Choose Digital Climbing?
Great Value for Money
No need to break the bank to get stylish, functional holds. Polyurethane is affordable, and ABS lowers transport costs.
A Brand Built by Passionate Climbers
Everything is designed by people who climb. You can feel it. The shapes connect with climbers, the textures inspire trust, and the colors add joy.
Responsible Choice for the Future
With recycled materials, long-lasting builds, and a whole lot of climbing fun—Digital checks all the boxes. It’s a brand you’ll be proud to have on your walls.
Digital Climbing isn’t just another climbing hold brand. It’s where performance, design, and environmental awareness meet. Whether you’re a beginner climber, a passionate route setter, or a gym owner, these holds bring something extra: they’re made for the joy of climbing—and for the world we want tomorrow.
Digital has also developed its fastening system, the D.D.S. (Digital Double Screw), which allows CHC or FHC screws to be fixed indifferently.
Screw lengths are also a problem that Digital wanted to simplify. The series fixing is systematically provided with only one screw length, which makes it possible to assume that the size S or M sockets are fixed with 40 mm screws. The size L or XL screws are fixed with 50 mm screws.
